「卵(目玉焼き)&ご飯」のバリエーションについて。
日本人はあまり目玉焼きをご飯にのっけないかなーロコモコとか外国料理なら馴染みがあるけど。

意味 (米)[be ~]卵の片面だけ焼いた, 目玉焼きの ( (英) では a fried egg が一般的)

ちゃんと調べたことなかったので念の為辞書ひいてみた。
ゆで卵は専用機器で作ってたけど、目玉焼きはフライパンが必要だったので家で作らなかったなー(一時期オーブントースター&ガラス容器で作ってたけど何か違ったw)腹持ち的にもゆで卵最強。

ニュアンスが伝わる成句。というか何度か調べたことあるな!

locate

In Japan, it’s tamago kake gohan (“egg over rice”), but in that version, the egg is cracked raw into a bowl of fresh, hot white rice, then fluffed with chopsticks into a creamy, comforting wonder.
